How could it have possibly been a month since I have added to this blog? That’s just crazy!

Well, since I have been slacking there has been quite a few things that have happened…

1. we have ordered the tuxes. You guys will be happy to know that we have picked out an AWESOME tux. You are all going to look HOT!

2. we changed our color scheme. Yes, we finally narrowed it down and chose a color. You will have to show up to see it tho!

3. I got my dressed altered, and it should be in next week! Now if I can just stay the exact same size until the wedding. :)

4. we found two bridesmaid dresses that we love, now I am just waiting on those silly bridesmaids to tell me which one they like better!

5.  my mom and I spent a ton of time running around and meeting with vendors and having a blast. we spent two days deciding what needed to be done and then figuring out how we could get that done in less than two days… it was quite a task, but we got a great list started, that I haven’t really even looked at since. It scares me to know that there’s still so much too do!

6. I found my wedding shoes! Yea! Shopping!

7. we designed our Save the date cards. This was truly a test of patience. We looked EVERYWHERE to find the magnets that are so popular, with really no success. We finally found a design we love and we will be sending the cards out ASAP.

I’m sure there are tons more that I have forgotten… but that’s the overview.

Mostly I’m counting down the days until I get to marry my best friend and that we get to see all of you!  I can’t wait!

Hello friends!!! We have finally secured the rooms for the Mission Palms. We have a reservation under the Kellum/Nausin party and rooms can be booked for the discounted rate for 3 days before and 3 days after the wedding. The availability is fairly open, but we’d love to have everyone get the reservation secured as soon as possible! Please contact the Tempe Mission Palms at (480) 894-1400

p.s. I have an dress alteration appointment for May 17th!

It has been a few weeks since I updated the blog so here is the latest…  My dress is in! My dress is in and it is waiting at Davids Bridal . I made an appointment for my alterations while my mom is here to help me – May 17th.  We’re still undecided on the location of the ceremony, but things are starting to look up on that front, I came up with an idea that might allow us to have the ceremony and reception at the Hackett House… but its top secret so you’ll just have to show up to see it! In regards to the accommodations,  my loving father has taken on the responisibilities of working with the staff at the Mission Palms (God Bless him!), and they are in final negotiations on the rooms. We will have a manageable rate of $169 per night and that will be good for 3 days before and 3 days after the wedding date (11/17)

I will post when we have final word on the rooms! :)

We are still having some difficulties with the Mission Palms hotel and I have a feeling we are going to end up taking our business elsewhere. I am trying to find a great hotel for everyone in Scottsdale. Sorry if this really messes up anyways plans!

Stay tuned for further developments. Again, please accept my apologies if this throws a wrench in anyone’s plans.

You sometimes hear love described as fire.  You got a burning desire.  Your love sets my heart on fire.  My passion for you burns like a fire.  Koom bai ya my Lord, etc.  Along with love, weddings are similar to fires too.  In my experience, weddings can be some of the happiest events.  I have been to some weddings where the roof almost blew off the house, where we had a Conga Dance Line wrap completely around the outside of the building.  I have been to some where people forgot about time altogether and danced the night away.  Granted some weddings can be a drag, and you could spend the whole night dancing to horrible music, eating horrible food, and checking your watch to make sure you spend the appropriate alloted time at the reception before it is okay to leave.

I know that it is both Jen and mine’s dream for everyone who can come to our wedding to have a time where the love and the fun spreads like a wild fire.  That your experience during the event is a shared experience of love that Jen and I have for each other and that we have for everyone of you.  So forget the social rules, well within reason, and let your hair down, eat some good food, have some good drink, dance like no one is looking, and remember again why it is so fun to love each other, and why life would be nothing without it.

We love each one of you and can’t wait to share this experience with you.

 Jeremy & Jen

Forgive me if this sounds garbled, I’m new to this blog thing.

Here are the facts – 230ish days until the wedding. We are getting married at the Hackett House in Tempe, on November 17, 2007. Ceremony Site TBD – planning for a sunset wedding. Our bridal party is going to be huge; the current count – 6 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen.

THE GOOD NEWS! We recently contracted our caterer and I bought a dress!!!! Yea!! I bought my dress on Saturday March 24th from David’s Bridal in Ahwatukee. My bridesmaids were all with me and we had a great time trying on tons of bridesmaid dresses too! My dress is “scheduled” to arrive the first week in May and I can hardly wait. It’s hard to believe that the dress is ordered, its starting to feel very real. I love it!

Of course, I am having my “bride to be” stressors too… Currently my stressors are (in no particular order): the DJ, the flowers, the photographer, the cake, and the ceremony location. Obviously, the ceremony location is the major detail that needs to be determined. We have been looking diligently for a location that suits us, but to no avail. I’m worried, but I have faith that it will all happen as it needs to. After all, it is out of my hands.

I thank all of you for coming by and staying in touch. Also, a big thank you goes out to Jeremy. Jer, your love, understanding, and support mean the world to me, I couldn’t ask for a better BFF. You are the best, honey! Thank you for everything! 143

Alright folks, here it is… The wedding blog. I thought of no better way to keep everyone posted on the wedding planning than to keep it in a blog. So, check it out, post replys, and keep coming back for more details.
